Welcome to our website. This website is owned and operated by CVPreview.co.uk. By using this site and services avaliable on it, you are agreeing to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions of use and any additional terms and conditions which expressly apply to services and information provided by any third parties.

Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions, the following definitions apply:

  1. The term "CVPreview", "Us" or "We" refers to the owner of the website.
  2. The term "You" refers to the user either as a "job seeker", "candidate", "employer", "recruiter" or just a viewer of the website.
  3. The term "Client" refers to any person, company, organisation, employer, agent or firm which purchases Services from us.
  4. The term "Services" means all recruitment products and services made available by us from time to time.
  5. The term "Advertisement" refers to any advertisement Services, either in the form of a job post or banner advertisement.

Terms of use

The information and services on this site is intended for individuals seeking employment or career information and for employers or recruiters seeking to recruit candidates for employment. You may use, download, distribute or print information from this site for the described purposes only and for no other personal or commercial purpose. You may not otherwise copy, print, display, transmit or distribute any of the material from this site.

All copyright, database rights and other intellectual property rights in the site and the material available on the site belongs to CVPreview or its third party suppliers. Use of the site does not give you any proprietary rights in such materials.

Variation

We may make changes to the CVPreview.co.uk site, including these terms and conditions, at any time with out notice. You will be legally bound by the amended or updated terms from the first time you use the CVPreview site and after changes are put online. Please check our terms regularly.

Data protection

Our use of CVs and other personal information supplied by users of this site is governed by our privacy policy. Please click here to view our privacy policy.

Terms of use to Candidates

General Service

The information and services provided on this site by us and third parties are intended to help assist in the job seeking or recruitement process. Neither we nor the third parties can guarantee their suitability or success in any case.

We try to ensure continuous availability of the site and all the services available on it but accept no responsibility for the consequences of interruptions, delays, unavalibility of the site or any failure to provide the services, however caused. We may, additionally, alter the design and specification of the site at any time.

CVPreview shall be entitled at anytime without notifying you to make changes to the services which are necessary to comply with any applicable security or other statutory requirements and shall determine the manner in which the services are provided.

You accept that CVPreview shall not be liable for any failure to provide the services (or any part thereof) as a result of your failure to comply with these terms and conditions.
You also accepts that CVPreview shall not be liable for any loss or damages suffered as the result of the use of this site.

Job advertisements within the site are provided by prospective employers or recruiters and are not reviewed by us. We accept no resposibility or liability for the contents of any advertisements within the site and expect prospective employers and recruiters to carry out such verification procedures as necessary.

CVs

If you have saved your details and stored your CV(s) on CVPreview, the provision of the following CV clauses apply:

  • The services are subject to any instructions from you, that your details should or should not be made available to any clients and CVPreview will only make available or supply copies of the CVs which have been received by it for distribution to clients of CVPreview solely for the purpose of securing suitable employment for you.
  • By saving a CV (and personal details) on CVPreview, you understand and agree that this information will be made avaliable to clients at all times.
  • The Online CV pool service will (under normal circumstances) be available to clients at all times and will allow clients access to all distributable CVs and their details on the site.
  • CVPreview cannot guarantee the minimum number of times a CV will be viewed by or distributed to clients on any given day.
  • CVPreview may, at its discretion and without notice, report improper or illegal use of CVs or the services by you to its clients.
  • CVPreview has the right at its sole discretion to decline to distribute or forward, or to suspend or remove any of your information or CV accepted by it.
  • CVPreview may refuse, withdraw, or require to be amended, any of your information or CV which is illegal, immoral, obscene or offensive or so as to comply with the legal or moral obligations placed upon CVPreview or you or to avoid infringing a third party's rights or any statutory or regulatory requirements or is designed to or is likely to cause disruption to any computer system or network.
  • You, the candidate, hereby undertake that:
    • the details and CV you store and save on CVPreview are a true and accurate reflection of your education, employment, training history, qualifications, skills and personal details are correct;
    • if any of the information stored and saved on CVPreview for the purposes of securing employment is found to be false or inaccurate in any way, CVPreview reserves the right to remove those details and/or suspend your use of the services on the site;
    • in respect of any information or CV submitted by you which contains the name or pictorial representation (photographic or otherwise) of any living person and/or any part of any living person and/or any copy by which any living person is or can be identified or any such copyright material, you have obtained the authority from such living person or owner of the copyright material to make use of such name, representation and/or copy;

Candidate Obligation

  • You agree that:
    • you have read, understood and agrees to the Privacy Statement on the Site;
    • you will keep confidential and not disclose to any person the username and password used by you in relation to the services on this site;
    • you will be responsible for any misuse of all such passwords.

Terms of business for Employers/Recruiters

General Service

The Client agrees to provide CVPreview, in such a format as CVPreview may request, any information, design work, artwork and logos necessary to enable CVPreview to provide those Services.

We will not be obliged to provide those Services until the Client has supplied us with the information, design work, artwork and logos necessary to provide those Services.

If any credits for Services which are to be used within any period of time specified in the Service Agreement are not used within that period of time, then in each case the Client shall still be responsible for the full payment of the invoiced amount as if the Services had been properly and fully provided (and for the avoidance of doubt we shall not be liable for providing any unused Services and such Services may not be carried over to any subsequent period.)

We reserves the absolute right, without giving any reasons, to decline, cancel or remove any advertisement or provision of Services for any reason and at any time without prior notice.

Links to a Client's or End Client's website will not be permitted to appear in any Advertisement placed, without our prior consent.

We may at our discretion and without prior notice, report any Advertisement or Service used which in our reasonable opinion is being used for an improper or illegal purpose by a Client to the relevant authorities including, without limitation, the Department of Employment, the Office of the Information Commissioner and the Recruitment and Employment Confederation. We may also disclose information about any Client to any third party, as we shall deem necessary to protect its interests or the interests of Clients, Recruiters, Candidates, Applicants and/or other users of the Site.

We reserve the right to change our Products or Services on the Site, which we which are necessary to comply with any applicable security, business development or other statuatory requirement, without notifying the Client.

We reserve the right to change any Product or Service Fee or institute new charges or fees, as it deems appropriate, without the need to notify the Client.

We will only make available or supply copies of CVs that have been received by us for distribution to our Clients solely for the purpose of securing suitable employment for the Candidates.

In the event that any Client should fail to pay the Service Fee or any other fees or changes due to us, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate the Client's CVCredits, web page or advertisement, without prejudice to all other rights and remedies.

Prohibited Uses

The CVPreview Site may only be used for lawful purposes by individuals seeking employment and career information and employers or recruiters seeking employees. Jobseekers and Clients, or any party under their control, agree not to use any of the Site for any of the following purposes which are expressly prohibited:

  • Jobseekers shall not post any false, incomplete or inaccurate biographical information which is not their own accurate CV.
  • Jobseekers shall not respond to any employment opportunity for any reason other than to apply for the Job Advertised and Employers shall not respond to any Jobseeker other than in connection with their application for a job. Communications soliciting business for any reason is prohibited.
  • Clients using the CV database pool shall only use it for the purpose of seeking employees for specific live jobs and shall not use the information in the CV database pool to sell or promote any products or services or to source people to join a franchise, pyramid scheme, "club membership", distributorship or sales representative agency arrangement or other business opportunity requires an up front or periodic payment, pays commissions only (no significant salary), requires recruitment of other members, sub-distributors or sub-agents.
  • All users shall not print, download, duplicate or otherwise copy or use any personally identifiable information about other users. All unsolicited communications, either by mail or e-mail, make unsolicited phone calls or send unsolicited faxes regarding promotions and/or advertising of products or services or or any other type, to users is strictly prohibited.
  • All users shall not delete or revise any material posted by any other person or entity.
  • All users shall not use any device, software or routine to interfere or attempt to interfere with the proper working of the Site or any activity being conducted on this Site.
  • All users are prohibited from violating or attempting to violate the security of the CVPreview Site (or any other sites accessed through the Site) including, without limitation, accessing data not intended for them or logging into a server or account which they are not authorised to access, attempting to probe, scan or test the vulnerability of a system or network or attempting to breach security or authentication measures without proper authorization, attempting to interfere with service to any user, host or network or sending unsolicited e-mail, including promotions and/or advertising of products or services, Violations of system or network security may result in civil or criminal liability.
  • All users shall not use the CVPreview Site in order to transmit, distribute or store material in violation of any applicable law or regulation, or in any manner that will infringe the copyright, trademark, trade secrets or other intellectual property rights of others or violate the privacy or publicity or other personal rights of others, or that is libelous, obscene, threatening, abusive or hateful.
  • All users shall not aggregate, copy or duplicate in any manner any of the Site's content, code, software technology or information available from CVPreview Site.
  • All users shall not attempt to decipher, decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer any of the software comprising or in any way making up a part of the CVPreview Site.

Copyright, Trademark, etc.

The graphics, images, editorial content, software and HTML on all of CVPreview's WebSites are the intellectual property of the CVPreview and are protected by copyright and trademark laws and may not be downloaded or otherwise duplicated without the express written permission by Us. Re-use of any of the foregoing is strictly prohibited and the We reserves all rights.

Responsibility

We may not monitor the site at all times but reserves the right to do so. We takes no responsibility whatsoever for any material input by any user or others and not posted by the Us. All users acknowledge and agree that they are solely responsible for the form, content and accuracy of any resume, advertisement, web page or material contained therein placed by them. We are not responsible for the content of any other web sites linked to the our Web Sites; links are provided as internet navigation tools only. We do not warrant that any CV, Advertisement or web page will be viewed by any specific number of users or that it will be viewed by any specific user. We are not in anyway to be considered to be an agent with respect to any users use of the our Web Site and the We will not be responsible in any way for any decision, for whatever reason made, made by any party seeking or posting jobs on our Web Site.

As a user, you are responsible for your own communications and are responsible for the consequences of your posting. You must not, and by using any CVPreview Site you agree not to, do the following things:

  • post material that is copyrighted unless you are the copyright owner or have the permission of the copyright owner to post it;
  • post material that reveals trade secrets unless you own them or have the permission of the owner;
  • post material that infringes on any other intellectual property rights of others or on the privacy or publicity rights of others;
  • post material that is obscene, offensive, vulgar, defamatory, threatening, harassing, abusive, hateful, racist, sexist, discriminatory, of a menacing character or embarrassing, or which may cause annoyance, anxiety or inconvenience to another user or any other person or entity;
  • post a sexually-explicit image or statement;
  • post advertisements or solicitations of business;
  • post chain letters or pyramid schemes;
  • impersonate another person;
  • post material that contains viruses, Trojan horses, worms, time bombs, cancelbots or other computer programming routines or engines that are intended to damage, detrimentally interfere with, surreptitiously intercept or expropriate any system, data or information.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT OUR WEB SITE WILL OPERATE ERROR-FREE OR THAT OUR WEB SITE AND OUR SERVER ARE FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL MECHANISMS. IF USE OF THE WEB SITE OR THEIR CONTENTS RESULT IN THE NEED FOR SERVICING OR REPLACING EQUIPMENT OR DATA, BY ANY USER, WE WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THOSE COSTS. OUR WEB SITE AND ITS CONTENTS ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" BASIS WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WITHOUT PREJUDICE TO THE FOREGOING, ANY IN RESPECT OF MERCHANTABILITY, NON-INFERINGEMENT OF THIRD PARTY RIGHTS, FITNESS FOR PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR ABOUT THE ACCURACY, RELIABILITY COMPLETENESS OR TIMELINESS OF THE CONTENTS, SERVICES, SOFTWARE, TEXT, GRAPHICS AND LINKS OF THE OUR WEB SITE.

Own Risk

ALL USERS USE THE CVPREVIEW WEB SITE AND ANY OTHER WEB SITES ACCESSED THROUGH IT, AT ENTIRELY THEIR OWN RISK. ALL users are responsible for their own communications and are responsible for the consequences of their posting. We do not represent or guarantee the truthfulness, accuracy or reliability of any of the communications posted by other users or endorse any opinions expressed by users. Any reliance by users on material posted by other users will be at their own risk. We reserve the right to expel any user and prevent their further access to the our Web Site, at any time for breaching this Agreement or violating the law and also reserves the right to remove any material which is abusive, illegal or disruptive.

Termination

CVPreview reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to pursue all of its legal remedies, including but not limited to deletion of your postings from this Web Site and/or immediate termination of your registration with or ability to access the Web Site and other and/or any other service provided to you by CVPreview, upon any breach by you of these Terms and Conditions or if CVPreview is unable to verify or authenticate any information you submit to the Web Site registration.

Indemnity

All users agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless CVPreview, its officers, directors, employees and agents from and against any claims, actions, demands, losses, damages or demands including, without limitation, reasonable legal and accounting fees, alleging from or resulting from their use of CVPreview's Web Sites or their breach of the terms of this Agreement. CVPreview shall provide prompt notice of any such claim, suit or proceeding to the relevant user.

Disclaimer

WE, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, DEVELOPERS, EMPLOYEES OR AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE IN ANY EVENT FOR ANY LOSSES OR DAMAGES SUFFERED BY ANY USER WHATSOEVER ARISING OR RESULTING FROM THEIR USE OR INABILITY TO USE CVPREVIEW'S WEB SITES AND ITS CONTENTS.

Limitation of Liability

Without prejudice to the above, the aggregate liability by us to any user for all claims arising from their use of our services and the our Web Sites shall be limited to the amount of the existing package fee subscribed to and paid for by the user (if any) and operative at that time.
