Your cover letter is your first chance to get your reader interested
It's like a sales document that is intended to persuade employers to be interested in you but what will really hook them?
- Always include your name and contact details in case your cover letter and CV get separated;
- Address your reader by name – never

; - Demonstrate your confidence, enthusiasm and self-belief in the first sentence. Make your reader want to know more about you;
- Don't start your sentences with

. Remember, this letter is for the employer, not for you; - Never go over one page;
- Triple-check your spelling, punctuation and grammar.
- Treat the job description like a question and match your skills and experiences with the job requirements. Include keywords where possible.
